Sides loaders are lift trucks with the lift truck drivers cabin placed parallel to the load and not across like standard lift trucks. In this way the lift truck can transport of long and heavy loads. The Side Loader is ideal for general long cargo handling. Main industries are building materials, steel industry, and other industries handling long loads like wood packs, coils, pipes, concrete and long loads.

Not every country is as flat as the Netherlands. In many countries, you have to make do with the space available on ground that is often not flat. How do you cope if you have to transport pallets of goods up and down a slope, especially if you have long items that have to be moved like timber.
Preventing damages and accidents
Unless special arrangements are made, the load will slide off the forks of the lift truck – possibly with disastrous consequences. MSE-Forks has already had a solution for many years in the form of its Single Height Shift System or SHSS. One of the two forks can be raised or lowered by 100 mm to compensate for the tilt of the lift truck. Because the cylinders are into the sides of the vertical sections of the forks, the system does not add anything to the front dimensions and the lift truck retains an optimum residual load capacity. The SHSS can be used with standard lift truck forks and, of course, our KOOI-ReachForks®.
The vertical movement of the Single height Shift can be fitted in combination with standard lift truck forks abut also with our KOOI-ReachForks, the hydraulic lift truck forks. With this combination the side-loader is much more flexible and can load or unload flat back truck from one sideor rail cars.

Side-loaders are manufactured in capacities from 2,5 tons up to 14 tons and more. MSE-Forks is able to supply hydraulic extensions for those capacities without any problems.
